Ethics and characterThe poor and the worker
Overview
Shaykh Shaltut presents scrambling for the world as the course opposite tabattul: a man concentrating his powers in serving his private material existence, amassing and hoarding within his own circle, heedless of virtue and of gratitude 1. This material individualism severs the natural bonds between people, plants avarice, and breeds enmity and hatred.
