Overview
al-Mas'udi reports that Abd Allah ibn Ali camped by the river Abu Futrus in the lands of Palestine and Jordan, and there killed some eighty men of the Banu Umayya. It was on Wednesday in mid Dhu al-Qa'da 132 AH. 1
He adds that Sulayman ibn Yazid ibn Abd al-Malik was killed at al-Balqa', and that his head was carried to Abd Allah ibn Ali. 1
