Druze
الدروز
The Druze; a closed community folded in on itself, their da'wa ordered in grades — the du'at, the 'uqala' keepers of the faith's inner secrets, the jawahid holding the outer keys of dealing with others — risen from the 408 proclamation of al-Hakim's divinity; they aided the Muslims faithfully against the Crusaders with splendid stands at the siege of Qal'at al-Shaqif, aided Hulagu's raid on Syria, and kept their martial name in Lebanon's wars into the Mandate.

Overview
The Druze are a closed community that has kept to itself, so people know little about its affairs, according to Hasan Ibrahim Hasan. 1
Their preachers are of ranks. The preachers and the wise hold the inner secrets of the doctrine. The Ajawid are the keepers of the outer secrets, because of their relations with others. 1
The author says that they called for the deification of al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah in the year 408 AH. He says that they helped the Muslims against the Crusaders, and took military positions at the siege of the fortress of Shaqif. He says that they helped Hulagu during his raid on Syria, and that they had a role in the wars of Mount Lebanon up to the time of the Mandate. 1
This needs a second source: the page presents the description of one author from outside the community, and does not present what the community says about itself.
