Overview

Tanukh is a tribe whose lineage al-Mas'udi gives as follows: Tanukh ibn Malik ibn Fahm ibn Taym al-Lat ibn al-Azd ibn Wabara ibn Tha'laba ibn Hulwan ibn Imran ibn al-Hafi ibn Qudaa ibn Malik ibn Himyar. 2

Their kings

Al-Mas'udi reports that the first to rule over Tanukh was al-Nu'man ibn Amr ibn Malik, then his son Amr, then al-Hawari ibn al-Nu'man. He says that no one else ruled over Tanukh besides them. 2

Then Salih came to Syria, overcame Tanukh and became Christian. 2

Not covered here: the dates, and a second source for what precedes. A second source is needed.
