Overview

The Yunusiyya are an order of dervishes, named after Shaykh Yunus ibn Yusuf al-Mukhariqi, and known by his name. 2

Their shaykh

Ibn Khallikan says that in the eyes of his followers Yunus was a "majdhub" without a shaykh. They call anyone without a shaykh a majdhub, meaning that he was drawn to the path of good and righteousness. 2

His grave is in his village of al-Qanniyya, in the district of Dara, and it is well known and visited. 2

A second source is needed: the history of Yunus and the accounts of the order.
