Overview

Habban ibn Abi Jabala, a client of the Banu Abd al-Dar, who was on the register of Egypt. He transmitted from Amr ibn al-As (may God be pleased with him), Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar. 1

Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz sent him to Ifriqiya with a group of jurists to instruct its people in the faith. Some counted him the fifth of the Successors who entered al-Andalus. He went on the campaign with Musa when he conquered it, and went with him as far as the fortress of Qarqashuna. 1
