His transmission
Dawud ibn Ali reports from him in "Fada'il al-Shafi'i", and he transmitted from Abu Thawr and Abu Ali al-Za'farani. 1
The form of the name
The editor of the book, quoting al-Subki, says that "al-Qallas" is with a qaf, a doubled lam and an unpointed sin, and it is said that his name was al-Hasan. 1
