Overview

Abu Muhammad Abdallah ibn Abi al-Wahsh ibn Abd al-Jabbar ibn Barri al-Maqdisi al-Misri, a philologist and grammarian of Egypt. He was born, raised and died in Egypt, and his father was a secretary. ¹

He was born in 499 AH (1106 CE) and died in 582 AH (1187 CE), according to report. ¹
