Isma'il ibn Ishaq ibn Isma'il ibn Hammad ibn Zayd ibn Dirham. Ibn al-Nadim says that he spread and publicised the jurisprudence of Malik, argued for it, wrote books on it and called people to it, and that he was an excellent jurist who held the judgeship. 2
