Overview

Jam, king of Persia. According to the Persian reports that al-Mas'udi relates, he was the first to exalt fire and to call people to revere it. He said that it resembles the light of the sun and the planets, because for him light is better than darkness, and he made for light degrees. 1

The appearance of Budasaf

Al-Mas'udi gives two views on the appearance of Budasaf: it is said that it was in his reign, and it is said that it was at the beginning of the reign of Tahmuras. 1
