Janji Al Jukhani

Janji al-Jukhani used to worship idols and strike the zanjalij in the house of the idol. He later abandoned that and turned to a doctrine he devised. ²

Ibn al-Nadim says that his doctrine rested on the claim that something existed before the light and the darkness, and that in the darkness there were two forms, a male and a female. He called his followers the Janjiyya. ²
