Overview
Jundub ibn Zuhayr al-Azdi, who with Abu Zaynab ibn Awf al-Azdi and a group of people from the Mosque of Kufa attacked al-Walid ibn Uqba. 2
The case of al-Walid ibn Uqba
Al-Mas'udi relates that they found him drunk, lying on his bed and not aware, and that he vomited up on them what he had drunk. They pulled his ring from his hand and bore witness against him before Uthman. 2
Uthman told them that what he had drunk was the wine that they used to drink in the pre-Islamic period, rebuked them and pushed them away. They went to Ali, who gave them justice. 2
The wording of the report in the summary needs review against the text, and it needs an additional source.
