Overview

Ma'bad ibn Abi Ma'bad al-Khuza'i, of Khuza'a. He met the Prophet ﷺ at Hamra' al-Asad after Uhud, and said that what had befallen him was hard for them. 1

His Islam

Al-Mubarakpuri in al-Rahiq al-Makhtum gives two views on his religion: it is said that he became Muslim, and it is said that he remained on his polytheism. He was a counsellor to the Prophet because of the alliance between Khuza'a and the Banu Hashim. 1 We do not establish here either his Islam or his remaining in polytheism.
