Overview
Abu al-Hasan Mansur ibn Isma'il al-Tamimi al-Misri, a Shafi'i jurist of the Sunni community. He was blind, and took jurisprudence from the companions of al-Shafi'i and their companions. 1
His works
He wrote works on the school, among them al-Wajib (The Obligatory), al-Musta'mal (The Used), al-Musafir (The Traveller) and al-Hidaya (The Guidance). 1
Death
Al-Shirazi says that he died before the year three hundred and twenty. The editor's margin, relaying from al-Subki and Ibn Khallikan, says that his death was in Jumada al-Ula 306 AH. That needs a second source. 1
