Overview
Muhammad ibn Ali al-Khurasani. Al-Suyuti relates that the caliph al-Qahir once had him brought while the spear was before him, and asked him about the characters and dispositions of the caliphs of the Abbasids. He answered him about them one by one, from al-Saffah to al-Mutawakkil. Al-Qahir said that he had heard his words as if he were looking at the people. 1
He may be the same man as Muhammad ibn Ali al-Abdi al-Khurasani whom Muruj al-Dhahab mentions in the same report; this needs an additional source to verify.
