Overview

Ibn Talha ibn Ubayd Allah, known as al-Sajjad. He was killed with his father at the battle of the Camel. Al-Mas'udi relates that Ali passed by him and said: "This is a man whom his devotion to his father and his obedience to him have killed." 2

His kunya

They differ about his kunya: al-Waqidi says Abu Sulayman, and al-Haytham ibn Adi says Abu al-Qasim. Al-Mas'udi relates from his killer that he stabbed him in the pocket of his shirt "for nothing", except that he did not follow Ali. 2
