Overview

Musallama ibn Aslam ibn Huraysh, one of the people of Badr, mentioned by al-Mas'udi in the account of cutting the bridge over the Euphrates. 2

In al-Mas'udi

Umar advised Abu Ubayda not to cut off any matter without Musallama and Sulayt ibn Qays. He objected to cutting the bridge over the Euphrates after the crossing, and said that the Muslims with Abu Ubayda would perish because of his bad policy, since they would find no refuge in those deserts. 2
