Overview

Nafi ibn Abd al-Malik, said to be a paternal cousin of Amir ibn Isma'il al-Madhhaji. One report says he is the man who killed Marwan ibn Muhammad at Busir. 2

The two reports

al-Mas'udi reports that Marwan ibn Muhammad was killed at Busir on the night of the battle, and that the report attributing his killing to Nafi contradicts the report of Amir. 2

The source offers no basis for choosing between the two reports; an additional source is needed.
