Overview
Rayta bint Ubayd Allah al-Harithiyya, mother of Abu al-Abbas al-Saffah. al-Mas'udi reports that she was married to Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and bore him al-Hajjaj ibn Abd al-Malik. After his death she married Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Abbas, and bore him al-Saffah, Ubayd Allah, Dawud and Maymuna 2.
