Sulayman ibn Wahb

Sulayman ibn Wahb, a secretary and vizier in the Abbasid period, mentioned by al-Mas'udi in Muruj al-Dhahab ².

He stood up among the Turks when they submitted to al-Muhtadi after his admonitions. He said that this was a bad opinion on their part, that al-Muhtadi gave them with his tongue while his intention toward them was otherwise, and that he would come upon all of them and disperse their gathering. They sought forgiveness and came to al-Muhtadi with daggers ².

According to al-Mas'udi he died in the year 270 AH, and he was the last vizier of al-Mu'tamid before Sa'id ³.
