Mentioned by al-Mas'udi in the account of the arbitration at Siffin. It is said that he was the first of the Kharijites to arbitrate; it is said that he was Urwa ibn Udhayna al-Tamimi; and it is said that he was a man of the Banu Sa'd ibn Zayd Manat 1.
