Overview
Ahnas: a small, well-developed town with a large population and wide produce that brings together many crops, as al-Idrisi describes it. Everything eaten there is plentiful and cheap, and its markets and shops are comfortable. It lies on the gulf that comes down from the northern part of most of the Nile. 2
