Overview
al-Safa: a small hill on the right of someone entering Mecca from the direction of the Ka'ba. The Prophet climbed it, gathered the clans of Quraysh, and called out to them a warning (the proclamation from al-Safa). 1.
In The Sealed Nectar
The book mentions it in two places: when the Prophet climbed it and called out "O Banu Fihr" and "O Banu Adi", and the tribes gathered to him; and when the house of al-Arqam ibn Abi al-Arqam was on al-Safa, and the Prophet made it the centre of his call and of his gatherings with the Muslims. 1 2. There Hamza struck Abu Jahl with his bow when he insulted the Prophet in its presence, and he became a Muslim. 3.
What is not mentioned here
The book does not describe the hill or the places of circling and running around it; the rulings of jurisprudence about them need their own sources.
For young visitors
