Overview
Barwa: a city on the coast of the Indian Ocean. According to al-Idrisi, it is the last land of a people of black skin who hold no fixed religion. He reports that they worship standing stones which they anoint with fish oil, and he describes this as corruption of belief. This is the author's judgement and not the museum's. 2
