Overview

The Cemetery of al-Sabi' is the great graveyard of Kufa. Al-Baladhuri, quoting Hisham ibn Muhammad al-Kalbi, reports that it was named after the descendants of al-Sabi' ibn Sab' ibn Sa'b al-Hamdani. ¹
