Overview
Majma' al-Anhar ("the meeting of the rivers") is a site in al-Sawad. Al-Baladhuri relates that Khalid ibn al-Walid met there Azadhbih, the commander of Khosrow's frontier posts between Persia and the Arabs. The Muslims fought him and defeated him. 1
