Overview

Saghaniyan is a land on the eastern side of the river. The report relates that its people came with the hosts of Tukharistan, which reached thirty thousand, to fight al-Ahnaf. Its king charged at al-Ahnaf with a spear, but al-Ahnaf wrested it from his hand and killed him. Al-Ahnaf had earlier killed three of the drummers. 1
