Overview
A full book on holy war written by Ibn al-Nahhas al-Dimashqi, which he abridged himself. 2
The author's fate
Ibn al-Imad reports that the author said, in the first rhymed prose of the book: "I praise you, O God, and ask you for the highest ranks of martyrdom." He was then killed at Damietta in battle with the Franks, and this was counted as an answer to his prayer. 2
