Overview
Ibn al-Nadim in the Fihrist records the books and writings of the Christians. 1
The books
He mentions the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; the book of the Apostles, known as the Praxis; and the Epistles of Paul, which number twenty-four. He also mentions books of rules, among them the books of the Western and Eastern Synods. 1
Their scholars
He names among their scholars Abd Yeshu' ibn Bahrir, who was metropolitan of Harran and then of Mosul. He mentions among their translators Fathyun, whom he describes as the most accurate of the translators, Tawma al-Rabawi, and Abu Qurra, the Melkite bishop of Harran. 1
This is Ibn al-Nadim's list as it appears, and some of the names in it need a further source.
