Overview

Fakhta bint Qarita, a woman of Kufa. Al-Mas'udi reports that she came out of her small house when the people of the mosque shouted "God is greatest" for the reconciliation of al-Hasan, and said: "May God gladden you, Commander of the Faithful; what is this news that has reached you?" He told her the news of the settlement, and that she was one of the two parties whom God would reconcile through his son. 2

Mother of Khalid ibn Yazid

The data holds that she was the mother of Khalid ibn Yazid ibn Muawiya, whom Marwan ibn al-Hakam married in order to humiliate her son through her. Al-Mas'udi reports that she was the one who put a pillow over his face until he died; it is also said that she gave him poisoned milk to drink. 3

An additional source is needed: the last report is ascribed to al-Mas'udi alone and has not been checked against another source.
