Overview
Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, known as al-A'lam al-Batalyusi, a philologist and reciter. He was born in Badajoz and lived in Seville. He became known for the science of language, grammar and commentaries on poetry. 1

He died around 637 AH (1239 CE). The sources differ on his year of death, between 637, 642 and 646 AH. 1
