إسحاق بن كنداج
Al-Muwaffaq's commander; in 269 he rode from Nisibis, caught al-Mu'tamid between Mosul and Haditha, returned him to Samarra and confined him to Ibn al-Khasib's house under five hundred guards — rewarded with khil'as, the commanders' estates, and the title Dhu'l-Sayfayn 1.

Overview
Ishaq ibn Kundaj, an amir of al-Muwaffaq. Al-Suyuti says that al-Muwaffaq wrote to him in 269 AH to bring back al-Mu'tamid, and he rode out from Nasibin and met him between Mosul and al-Hadītha. 2
Al-Mu'tamid's return
He brought him back to Samarra and lodged him in the house of Ahmad ibn al-Khasib, prevented him from the palace of the caliphate, and set five hundred men to guard him. Al-Muwaffaq sent to him robes of honour and money, granted him the estates of the commanders who had been with al-Mu'tamid, and gave him the title "Possessor of Two Swords". 2
