Overview

Mazahim, servant and client of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz. 1

With Umar

Al-Salabi says that Umar imprisoned a man in Medina and kept him in prison for a long time. Mazahim spoke to him about releasing him, and admonished him with the Day of Judgement. He was the first to awaken him to this matter, and he accompanied him when he left Medina weeping. 1

The treasury

Umar ordered Mazahim to return to the treasury the money that came to it from Bahrain every year. Mazahim used to read to him the registers of the injustices that had been returned. 2
