Overview
Muhriz al-Mudliji, a qa'if (one who traces tracks to establish lineage). Al-Mas'udi says that the Prophet confirmed his skill as a qa'if, and some jurists of the cities relied on this to rule by qiyafa (judgement by the tracker's signs). 1
The day of al-Ghaba
Al-Mas'udi relates from al-Waqidi that he was killed on the day of al-Ghaba among five or six of the polytheists, whom the Prophet killed with his own hand in that expedition. 2
