Overview

Abu al-Walid Musa ibn Abi al-Jarud al-Makki, a jurist whom al-Shirazi counts among the Meccan companions of al-Shafi'i. Al-Shirazi says that he transmitted hadith and the Amali and other works from him, and that he gave legal opinions in Mecca according to the school of al-Shafi'i. 1

Al-Shirazi does not give the year of his death, which needs an additional source.
