Overview

Rabah ibn Ajla, soothsayer of al-Yamama. al-Mas'udi reports that a poet composed a well-known verse about him, pairing him with the soothsayer of Najd. He counts him among the soothsayers together with al-Ablaq al-Azdi, al-Ahlaj al-Dahri, Urwa ibn Zayd al-Azdi and Kuhind. 2 The source does not firmly attribute the verse to Urwa ibn al-Ward (it says "or someone else").
