Overview

Wahb ibn Munabbih, Abu Abd Allah, of the sons (abna'). al-Mas'udi and Ibn Khaldun mention him 2.

Death

He died in Sana'a at the age of ninety, in the year 104 AH, and it is said in the year 110 AH. al-Mas'udi indicates that the writers of histories differed on his death 2.

In Ibn Khaldun

Ibn Khaldun counts him among those who brought into the exegesis the false reports of the Children of Israel, against which the Messenger warned in a hadith that Ibn Khaldun transmits 3.

This is Ibn Khaldun's judgement. The assessments of other scholars of him need an additional source.
