Zayd ibn al-Lusayt al-Qaynuqa'i

He was in the litter of Umara ibn Hazm, and Ibn Ishaq calls him a hypocrite; a saying about the Prophet's strayed she-camel was attributed to him, to which the Prophet answered by announcing where the camel was. People differ on his repentance.

In the Tabuk expedition
Ibn Ishaq names him "Zayd ibn al-Lusayt al-Qaynuqa'i"; he was on Umara ibn Hazm's mount, and Ibn Ishaq describes him as having been a hypocrite. 1 Ibn Hisham said it is also said "ibn Lusayb" with a b. 1 A saying about the straying of the Prophet's she-camel is attributed to him; the Prophet told them of the saying and of the she-camel's place, and it was found where he described. 2 Ibn Ishaq said some people claim he repented after that, while others said he never ceased to be suspected of evil until he perished. 3
