Overview
al-Mansura (Sind): a recently built city which al-Mansur of the Abbasids founded, and which is named after him, according to al-Idrisi. It was built of mud brick and fired brick. It has gardens and crops, many merchants, and its coins are of silver and copper. 2
An additional source is needed for attributing the building to the caliph al-Mansur, since another source in the location data says it was built by Amr ibn Muhammad ibn al-Qasim (see al-Mansura).
