Overview

The land of the Kharkhir is very fertile and full of water, and rivers flow into it from the direction of the frontiers. Among them is a great valley with much water and a strong current, with mills on which they grind rice and wheat, and in which there are aloeswood trees. That is al-Idrisi's description. 2
