Overview

Rutumaghash, which is Rouen, is a large, well-known city on the river in the land of Normandy, according to al-Idrisi. He mentions that it lies thirty miles from Bantiz, and that Bantiz is the southernmost of the districts of Normandy. 2

An additional source is needed: identifying the modern name of the city.
