Short answer

The Muhajirun were the Muslims of Mecca who migrated to Medina, and the Ansar were the Muslims of Yathrib who sheltered and supported them. Both groups appear in the Qur'an and in the biography.

Detailed answer

The Muhajirun migrated with the Prophet ﷺ in the Hijra, and the Ansar welcomed them in Medina and supported them. The entries on both groups set out their names and stances in the biography, and they are linked to the entry on Medina and what happened there.
