Overview
A book by Abu Yahya Ibn Asim, the chief judge, on submission to the decree after the loss of al-Andalus, titled "Jannat al-Rida fil-Taslim lima Qaddara Allah wa Qada" (The Garden of Contentment in Submitting to What God Has Decreed and Judged). 2
The idea of the book
Al-Maqqari reports that the author depicted in it how the Christians seized no united lands until they had enabled the causes of disagreement, and laboured to bring about division among the Muslims. He says they brought about discord by deceit and trickery among the kings of the peninsula, and stirred up its defenders against each other in civil strife. 2
