Overview

Abu Yahya ibn Asim al-Gharnati, chief judge, secretary and vizier, whom al-Maqqari describes as a scholar. 1

He wrote Jannat al-Rida fi al-Taslim lima Qaddara Allah wa Qada (The Garden of Contentment in Submitting to What God Has Decreed and Ordained). According to the source, he portrayed in it the end of al-Andalus and the cause of its fall, and traced that to the Christians' exploitation of the disputes among the kings of the peninsula. 1

The dates of his birth and death are not documented in the museum's data, and need an additional source.
