Suwa': Hudhayl's idol at Ruhat; one of Noah's people's idols which the Arabs worshipped after them.
In the sira presentation
Al-Mubarakpuri mentions that idolatry entered the Arabs in the time of Amr ibn Luhayy, who saw the people of al-Balqa venerating idols and carried them to the Hijaz — until every clan had an idol and every house an idol 1.

Suwa' is an idol some Arabs worshipped before Islam instead of God — until Islam demolished all the idols.
