محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة النيسابوري
The imam of Nishapur in hadith; he rebuked a student for writing from al-Tabari under Hanbali pressure, then judged after reading the Tafsir: no one on earth is more learned than Abu Ja'far, and the Hanbalis wronged him 1.

His stance on al-Tabari
Ibn al-Athir relates that al-Husayn ibn Ali (may God be pleased with him) al-Razi asked him why he did not write from Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari, when the Hanbalis prevented people from entering his company. Ibn Khuzayma replied: "I wish you had not written from everyone you wrote from, and had heard from Abu Ja'far." 2
He is also reported to have said, on reading al-Tabari's commentary: "I know of no one on the face of the earth more learned than Abu Ja'far, and the Hanbalis have wronged him." 2
