Abu Attab Mansur ibn al-Mu'tamir, a jurist of the Sunni community. Al-Shirazi mentions him in the same generation as al-A'mash, Abu Hashim, al-Harith al-Ukli and others, who took their learning from al-Sha'bi and al-Nakha'i. 1
Death
The editor's margin, relaying from al-Ma'arif, says that he died in 132 AH; this is not in Shirazi's text. That year needs a second source. 1
