Overview

Rabah, client of Mughith al-Rumi. al-Maqqari describes him as black, brave and ready to help. He lay in wait in an orchard beside a church west of Cordoba where the besieged had taken refuge. Their people seized him and thought he was dyed, so they washed him until he bled. He remained a prisoner for seven days, then fled at night and told Mughith where the channel was from which they got their water, and he cut it off from them. 2
