Overview
Muhammad Rashid ibn Ali Rida, a scholar and journalist, one of the pioneers of Islamic reform, a student of Shaykh Muhammad Abduh, and author of a two-volume book on the life of his teacher. In his commentary on "Hadir al-Alam al-Islami", Shakib Arslan describes him as the Grand Master, praising the breadth of his learning and his ability to connect the Shari'a to contemporary events 2.
