Overview

Shirawayh al-Iswari. He married Marjana, mother of Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, and built her a palace with many doors, which was called "Hazardar" 1.

The name

Opinions differ on the reason for the name. It is said that it was because he made a thousand doors in it. It is also said that it was because a thousand guards settled the site in a thousand houses which Khusraw had assigned to them 1.
